So many assumptions abound when we’re talking about the abandon with which our betters spend our money. Certainly goes back to the idea that ‘once upon a time’ it was important to have some idea where the money would actually originate. That seems like a quaint notion akin to what non/believers would deride as the fantasy of "the great whore of Babylon” riding the beast (for every dime she can get), as the world drinks "the wine of her iniquities”. Alas, the temptation is strong to linterpret many prophetic passages like this according to the realities of corruption we can easily identify. And yes, parables and prophecies are meaningful, interesting in reality as well as spiritually because they are what you see when you have eyes to see.
So as we assume those great principles the Founders established are still at work winning the ‘hearts and minds’ of the people — We the People — we might consider a few core questions: I.e., does your vote mean your voice is heard? Is voting like buying a lottery ticket, on the basis of voice as reality? When the unfunded debt is at $One, Trillion per 100 days of ‘continuing resolution’, did anyone give your voice a shout out, or a shut up? Did they ask you if it would be ok to cause your costs to go up while tightening your credit and printing money so fast that inflation is the only way they can begin to rationalize the way they spend ‘your’ money? Realizing of course that taxes are what you pay on money you claias your earnings, not what inflation does to your take home ‘pay’? Then, if that’s not just enough, trillions are spent ‘building democracy’ and defending ‘our national interests’ with the well-oiled "war machine” — with no way to have anything like a meaningful audit, as though that would be an ideal ‘transparency’ — what? WHAT?? Right. Now Calm Down while you see where the real love is ! You Must calm down and Slow Down on that ‘white privilege, racist’ thing that plagues you, brother, I mean ‘pal’ ! — *You can only be my (elitist) ‘pal’ if you "go along to get along” — You probably thought that being an American means inherent (white) privilege?! Well there are millions of other people from around the world who ‘Deserve’ some of that privilege. And this is what defending our ‘national interests’ abroad, far, far away, has come to — opening OUR Borders to those. ‘teeming masses, yearning to be Free’ — free of the abuse and exploitation of the criminal cartels trafficking just as they ‘escaped’ the oppressive regimes who cared nothing for their welfare. THIS is the land of ‘milk and honey’, Opportunity, tickets to ride, young (and old), dumb, vulnerable, unsuspecting people in a Target Rich environment, especially when your identity can be submerged into the miasma/ether of a system assuring NO accountability as in an actual citizenship. ** Just don’t try to scoot on that ‘privilege’ thing you claim; these people have privileges as human beings too you know. And hey! The Promised Land wasn’t only promised to you. Like it; love it! The voice you have for the winning lottery ticket may not be a bigger voice, but it sure is a bigger for the winning tickets the ‘Elite’ hold. A much bigger purse. Much. Mucho gusto, Amigo.
