Matt Braynard: The RNC Let Down Candidates, Focused On Profit Motives Over Election Results

Matt Braynard, political consultant, talks to host Steve Bannon about why he think it is essential for a change of leadership in the Republican National Committee. He explains why Joe Kent lost his race in Washington because of lack of support from the RNC, and says the RNC is running what is essentially a scam where consultants get 90 percent of contributions intended for candidates. “We turned to the Republican National Committee … and asked them ‘Hey, can you help us with the field program,’ and they said no, and I said why, and they said because you’re not using our ‘free’ voter data and associated apps… It is our policy … not to support field programs that do not use our in-house preferred vendors for voter data… What this piece gets at is… the truth is there is no limit to what the RNC can do to help our candidates if they don’t care about helping their friends who are consultants.”
