Situation Report:
On Veterans Day, Steve Bannon delivered a powerful message about loyalty, patriotism, and the work needed to support Donald Trump’s return to the White House. Speaking to his audience, he began by reflecting on the historical significance of the day. "The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month,” he reminded listeners, marks the end of World War I and honors veterans who’ve served. He clarified, "Veterans Day is to support and honor our veterans,” a day different from Memorial Day, which honors the fallen.

Veterans Day 2024
Bannon used the occasion on Monday’s WarRoom to rally MAGA supporters, calling for people "to the ramparts” to face the challenges ahead. He painted a picture of a divided nation, where Trump’s movement stands against an entrenched "establishment.” But, he said, loyalty to Trump is key. It’s no longer enough to be a fan of Trump’s policies. For those on his team, loyalty means standing by him in his most challenging times.
Bannon emphasized Trump’s accomplishments, recalling how "we had peace and prosperity” during Trump’s first term. Trump handled diplomacy with tough figures like Russia’s KGB, Iran’s leaders, and China’s Communist Party, he said, building respect on the world stage. Bannon spoke proudly of Trump’s economic gains, adding, "He knew the institutions of finance and economics” and used them to benefit the country.
But there was another message Bannon wanted to make clear: Trump will demand loyalty going forward. He commended Trump ally Dan Scavino, whom he described as a key player and loyal figure, standing by Trump since day one. Scavino, he noted, "put out a message to Trump’s original team”—essentially, a warning. Those who left Trump’s side after January 2021, Bannon said, are not welcome back. "If you weren’t there for President Trump in the darkest days…don’t reach out,” Scavino stated. For Bannon, Scavino’s stance demonstrates a principle the MAGA movement values: unwavering loyalty. "Dan’s been there from the beginning,” Bannon said. It’s this kind of commitment that Bannon wants to see from everyone on Trump’s team.
He also turned his attention to prominent GOP figures like Nikki Haley and Mike Pompeo, whom he claimed tried to distance themselves from Trump after his administration. Trump, Bannon declared, effectively ended their political careers. "Their political careers,” Bannon stated bluntly, are over when it comes to leading the MAGA movement. He believes Trump’s team must consist only of the most loyal individuals as they tackle tough upcoming battles.
Bannon highlighted two immediate priorities. First, ensuring MAGA remains strong and unified in Congress, blocking attempts by Democrats to retake the House. Second, stopping Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s rumored "secret vote on Senate leadership,” which Bannon suggested is an effort to weaken Trump.
A Fight on Multiple Fronts Bannon outlined a three-branch strategy: legislative, executive, and judicial. In the legislative arena, he stressed the importance of transparency, referencing Benny Johnson’s report on a potential secret vote for Senate leadership. He called on supporters to demand accountability and ensure that legislators’ votes are public. Bannon views this transparency as crucial to advancing their goals.
In the executive branch, Trump aims to "deconstruct” parts of the federal government Bannon deems unnecessary. He underscored the significance of placing Trump-aligned figures in key government positions to fulfill this agenda. Referring to concerns about "PTSD” among federal bureaucrats, Bannon said, "I don’t care about federal bureaucrats’ PTSD,” underscoring his view that the movement’s aims are more important than internal resistance.
In the judiciary, Bannon identified the need to accelerate judicial appointments. He mentioned Senator Elizabeth Warren’s push to delay and block certain judges, pointing to the necessity of prompt action. "This fight is on,” he said, emphasizing that this push is happening now—not just in the lead-up to inauguration day.
Call to Action In rallying his supporters, Bannon highlighted the urgency and significance of the current moment. He envisions a movement that won’t be "thwarted” but will succeed in reshaping the government. "We are at the ramparts,” he declared, reinforcing the need for his audience’s active participation in the coming weeks.
In the end, Bannon stressed the loyalty theme: supporting Trump is not just about politics; it’s a stand against the "administrative state” and "deep state” that he claims act as a "fourth branch of government” with too much power. "Loyalty is everything,” he said, making it clear that Trump’s return depends on a devoted team, ready to make hard sacrifices and stand by him no matter what.
