On the WarRoom program, Paul Dans and Steve Bannon recently discussed Project 2025, which offers a pivotal shift- back- towards citizen-led governance, reasserting the principle of consent of the governed in American democracy. By empowering the participation of everyday citizens and dismantling bureaucratic overreach, it aims to restore accountability and transparency in the government. Citizens are envisioned as active agents in shaping policy and holding leaders accountable, marking a departure from the interests of the elite.
This initiative seeks to bridge the gap between government and the governed, ensuring that decisions reflect the people’s will. Through Project 2025, citizens are invited to reclaim their role as governance architects, fostering a renewed sense of democratic engagement and civic responsibility.
But not everyone is excited about such a plan.
Dans and Bannon also talked about the weaponization of the legal system by the Biden administration, particularly targeting President Trump and conservative initiatives like Project 2025. They argue that the Biden administration, especially through Attorney General Merrick Garland, has misused the Department of Justice to suppress political opponents in ways reminiscent of authoritarian regimes. This includes legal actions against Trump and conservative media outlets like Gateway Pundit, which they see as attempts to undermine conservative influence.
Dans emphasizes the need for conservatives to respond to these attacks by organizing and preparing for future governance through initiatives like Project 2025. This project aims to dismantle the permanent bureaucracy in Washington, known as the administrative state, to restore what they see as constitutional governance. They believe that the current bureaucracy operates independently of democratic oversight, sustained by media, big tech, and financial interests, and needs to be taken apart to allow for more democratic governance- thereby removing power from the people.
Bannon and Dans also highlight the importance of having a detailed, prepared strategy to implement conservative policies effectively when Trump wins another term. They stress the necessity of new ideas and people in government to replace the entrenched bureaucratic systems.
Recently, corporate media have demonized Project 2025, using fear-mongering tactics to scare voters. This project is merely a proposal aimed at reforming the government- which is American civics. Opponents likely fear Project 2025 for its comprehensive and ambitious agenda to transform the federal government.
Reasons for their fear could include opposition to:
Dismantling the Administrative State: Supporters argue this would reduce bureaucratic inefficiencies and return to a more constitutional government.
Consolidation of Power: Proponents believe giving the President more direct control over various agencies would streamline decision-making and improve governance efficiency.
Policy Shifts: Supporters see Project 2025 as promoting conservative agendas, such as reducing regulations and reversing progressive reforms.
Political and Legal Tactics: Supporters accuse the current administration of using the legal system to target political opponents and seek to correct this perceived injustice.
Mobilization and Implementation: The meticulous planning and broad mobilization efforts indicate readiness to implement changes swiftly, which supporters see as necessary for effective governance.
Cultural and Ideological Shift: Supporters see Project 2025 as a return to traditional values and a correction of perceived liberal overreach.
Project 2025 represents a significant challenge to the current political and administrative status quo, aiming to dismantle entrenched bureaucratic structures, consolidate executive power, implement conservative policies, and shift the ideological balance of governance.

There is no argument whatsoever that Joe Biden and his regime need to be removed from the White House . This means, that no matter how you feel about President Trump, he is the right choice in this election. My concern is not about Trump becoming president again. My concern is more about the excessive devotion of MAGA voters to Donald Trump. If we the people are going to take back the Government, we need to hold Trump accountable and we cannot give him a pass on urgent issues he fails to address or on actions he takes that push us further into debt. For the sake of our children and grandchildren, we need to address the most urgent and most difficult problems and we cannot give ANY president a pass just because he does some things right and because he is popular. Trump is far from perfect. The way he speaks publicly sometimes exposes our entire fight to wasted time defending him against media attacks that sow doubts into the minds of his supporters. I cringed through every moment of his presidency when the China virus took center stage. He said Xi was doing a great job. He signed the highly corrupt PPP program (did Tom Brady and the Kardashians really need millions in forgivable loans? He say’s he won’t touch Social Security, which is the wrong answer to a $65 Trillion problem and a system careening toward bankruptcy. He did good with the border, the supreme court, world peace and the Abraham Accords. But the needs to do much more to protect American Liberty for future generations. The greatest threats to freedom are the Rise of the Chinese Communist Party and the massive national debt. If President Trump fails to make these his top priorities, he will be the last non-marxist/non-leftist president we’ll have. He’ll be taking office at a true crossroads for our nation. He can’t simply execute on the things that make him look good, and kick everything else down the road. As we’ve seen with Biden, and have learned from the Bushes, we cannot count on the next president to do the right thing. President Trump needs to take it seriously and we need to hold him accountable. Citizen-lead governance does not mean head over heels devotion to one man. It means undying devotion to American Liberty and the willingness to die fighting for our children’s future.
I disagree with your priorities. Holding Trump accountable is not a priority. He is the only President to deliver on all his campaign promises during my life time. We need to hold his opponents and the corporate media accountable. The corporate media are blood suckers who betray the public trust by succumbing to cheap he said / she said news without doing the real investigative news our citizens need to be informed. The clearest example of that is the collective silence on Biden’s mental state and the answer to the question of who is really running our government, setting policies AND issuing the orders. His opponents do not represent the interests of the American voters, they ignore the interests of the American voter for their own priorities. Any one ignoring the existence of a politically powerful cabal against Trump in our bloated administrative state has their head in the sand. We are under the sway of a DC lawyer class desperate to preserve their power. Solving that issue should be our highest priority
