Texas Rep. Brian Harrison said he is is done playing games. With Democrats fleeing the state to block redistricting and Republican leadership enabling it, Harrison is demanding action: arrest the absentees, remove them from office, defund their staff, and redraw the maps without them. No more weak tweets—time to hit them where it hurts.
While Democrats hide out in Illinois, Harrison is turning up the heat in Texas. What looks like a political stunt to some is, to Harrison, a direct assault on the integrity of Texas government—and he’s laying down a plan to fight back.
"I’m sick of the Kabuki theater,” he told Steve Bannon on Tuesday Night’s WarRoom. "It’s time to actually use the power we have.”

Here is Harrison’s Hard-Hitting Plan:
Arrest the Runaways
Using the Texas DPS and House Sergeant-at-Arms, Harrison wants to physically return fleeing Democrats to the chamber. "We don’t need more arrest warrants. We need arrests,” he said flatly.
Vacate Their Seats
Harrison has already issued notice: if they don’t show up for the next session, he will pursue legal action to remove them from office.
Defund Their Offices
"Take their staff. Shut down their budgets,” Harrison demands. "You don’t get to abandon your post and keep taxpayer-funded perks. Not on my watch.”
Keep Calling Special Sessions
Gov. Abbott can call unlimited 30-day special sessions. Harrison wants him to keep the pressure on until Democrats return—or collapse under it.
Redraw the Maps Without Them
In a power move, Harrison wants to add one new GOP district for every week Democrats are gone. "Fight fire with fire,” he said. "They’d do it to us.”
Why This Fight Matters
This isn’t just about maps. It’s about Texas’ future.
Demographic changes in Texas—particularly in South Texas where Hispanic counties have flipped to Trump—are reshaping the political battlefield. Redistricting is the opportunity to lock in those gains, and Democrats know it. That’s why they’re running.
And what was the GOP leadership doing when Democrats prepared their escape? Harrison says they adjourned the session early, knowing exactly what was coming. "They gave them the runway to leave,” he said.
Even worse, instead of fighting to pass bold conservative laws—on school choice, border security, and election integrity—the Texas legislature spent the regular session funding DEI and transgender ideology in public universities.
"We’re being betrayed from both sides,” Harrison said. "It’s not just Democrats. It’s weak Republicans who refuse to lead.”
The Stakes
This is the third time in Paxton’s career that Democrats have fled to break quorum. The difference now is that conservatives like Harrison are done waiting.
In his words: "If we don’t act now, we lose Texas.”
Follow Brian Harrison on X @BrianHarrisonTX and demand that your elected officials back this plan for the Democrats. Arrest them. Defund them. Remove them. Redraw without them.
Rino’s will sabotage you too, it’s them against America, you better wake up fast and realize that R’s are just the ones pretending to be ‘good cop’ but they all work under the same roof. you better start smacking some R’s too for their malfeasance or the D’s will pull the race card and every stupid victim status they can think of. If you’ve been slapping R peepee too, then you have solid ground to punch them right back down saying, no, im disciplining both sides, see?
You are correct it is time to save your state of Texas but flush the toilet on BOTH sides, because s..t is s..t no matter who’s bathroom it backed up into.
