James Comey, the smug, self-righteous former FBI director who orchestrated the Trump-Russia hoax, may finally face a reckoning. With the statute of limitations about to expire in less than two weeks, prosecutors are circling Comey on perjury charges tied to his 2020 Senate testimony on Crossfire Hurricane. The swamp’s golden boy may have run out of slippery tricks—and MAGA wants him in prison, not writing another smug op-ed.

Julie Kelly joined Steve Bannon on WarRoom to unpack how Comey’s lies are now catching up. At issue is his September 30, 2020, testimony, when he swore under oath that he didn’t share his private Trump memos with anyone. That was a lie. Comey not only wrote six or seven memos after private Oval Office meetings, he leaked one to the New York Times through his Columbia Law School pal Daniel Richman. That February 14, 2017, memo falsely claimed Trump asked him to "go easy on Flynn.” Comey’s stunt was designed to trigger a special counsel—which delivered Robert Mueller.

Now, prosecutors in Virginia have interviewed Richman, a sign the cover story is collapsing. Kelly stressed that the Horowitz IG report in 2019 already documented Comey’s misconduct—hoarding sensitive memos at home, leaking them strategically, and weaponizing them against Trump. But DOJ gave him a pass. That protection is cracking.

Bannon didn’t mince words: Comey is the mastermind of Russiagate and the father of the "mini Comeys” still infesting DOJ and FBI today. From the J6 raids to political prosecutions, the fingerprints of Comey’s FBI culture remain. For Bannon, a perjury indictment is just the appetizer—proof that accountability is possible and a door to bigger charges.

Kelly connected the dots to the broader rot. The corruption didn’t end with Comey; it spread into D.C. courts, prosecutors, and judges like Beryl Howell, who greenlit lawfare against Trump. She blasted Republicans for doing nothing—no impeachment inquiries, no stripping of corrupt judges, no serious effort to dismantle DOJ’s weaponization. MAGA voters see it, and they’re furious.

Bannon urged a "maximalist strategy”: stop playing defense, break the blue-slip tradition that blocks MAGA judges and U.S. attorneys, and seize the institutions before the deep state jails half the movement. He warned that unless Trump acts quickly, the apparatus Comey built will outlast him—and weaponize trials against his allies while shielding its own.

Comey, once the media’s towering Boy Scout, is now cornered by his own lies. MAGA doesn’t want another IG wrist slap. They want decades in prison for a deep state snake who abused his badge to try to take down a sitting president. With the statute clock ticking, the pressure is on Attorney General Pam Bondi to move before the swamp closes ranks again.

The question hanging over WarRoom: is this the appetizer before the main course of deep state accountability—or just another delay tactic? Either way, MAGA isn’t backing off. Time is running out for James Comey, and the movement demands nothing less than justice.
