Tactical Report
Steve Bannon appeared on the WarRoom Battlefield Tuesday night and issued a clear directive to the America First movement: Seize power now—while the opportunity is ripe. His response came after watching Democratic strategist James Carville vent frustrations over recent Democratic losses. For Bannon, Carville’s anger is a sign of the Democrats’ crumbling influence. “They’re totally out of power,” Bannon stated, emphasizing that the time is right for America First to take control of key institutions and secure lasting influence.
Bannon’s focus is on immediate action to leverage this momentum. “We have to seize the institutions now,” he asserted, describing the current moment as critical. Bannon pointed out that Republicans now control both houses of Congress, the executive branch, and even the courts. He sees this as an unprecedented alignment of power. But to make real change, Bannon argued that the movement must act quickly and decisively.
Why Seize Power Now?
For Bannon, waiting is not an option. He warns of potential Democratic moves to counter Republican gains. Specifically, he raised concerns about federal judicial appointments, emphasizing that Democrats could attempt to push through as many appointments as possible before losing further power. "We can’t let Elizabeth Warren jam more federal judges in,” he insisted. By securing control over the judiciary, the America First movement can prevent policies from being reversed in the courts.
A Battle with the “Deep State”
Bannon’s speech also included a direct call to confront what he calls the "Deep State.” He argues that to secure America First objectives, the movement must prepare to dismantle bureaucratic resistance within government agencies. This requires “landing teams” and “beachhead teams” prepared to roll out policy changes on day one. “We must be prepared to confront the administrative state,” he said, highlighting the need to challenge entrenched interests he believes obstruct executive action.
Why the Senate Majority Matters
A crucial part of Bannon’s call is a strong Senate majority. He believes a slim majority would leave President Trump vulnerable to internal resistance. “We can’t have a two-seat majority and let Mitch McConnell or John Thune control the U.S. Senate,” he warned. Bannon argues that without a solid, loyal majority, America First reforms will struggle to pass. He underscored this by saying, "President Trump’s not going to have enough runway without it.”
Grassroots Power: The Secret Weapon
Bannon credited the America First movement’s success to a committed base of volunteers, activists, and grassroots strategists. He praised the precinct strategy and grassroots efforts as vital forces that helped Republicans gain ground. When official resources were low, he noted that volunteers filled the gap, ensuring voter turnout and election integrity initiatives. “All the election integrity stuff that people like Mike Lindell worked on…that’s what won us power,” he said.
In closing, Bannon’s message is clear: Act now, before the Democrats regroup. For him, America First cannot afford to underestimate the Democrats’ capacity to retaliate. With the left "out of power,” Bannon believes there’s a unique window to entrench America First policies. "The opportunity is here,” he said, urging his followers to seize it with a sense of urgency.
