The footage looked intense, Oscar. Can you explain to our audience exactly what’s happening here?OSCAR RAMIREZ (GUEST):
Steve, it is an honor to be with you this morning. Yes, it was a Gen Z protest. And it started on Saturday, just right behind me, just this bus, it is blocking, but it is where the angel of independence, and they put barricades. These people, these, you know, leftists in our country that are talking about that walls and barricades are inhuman, they completely gated the governmental plaza and gated and blocked the whole plaza just to encapsulate all the people that they were going over there in protest.Thousands of Gen Z and thousands of people were protesting, leading to the assassination of a mayor and a part of Europan, that it was fighting the cartel and it was asking for help for the president to get him more artillery so we can fight the cartel and their technology and say they have a lot of drones. They have all this new technology that we don’t have. Please help us. He got assassinated.
And after that, all that lit up a fire. The whole country started manifesting and protesting themselves. And this happened on Saturday. This is the people, you know, going to the governmental plaza. And after that, it was just a complete, you know, confrontation between the Gen Z, between some infiltrators, and the government of Mexico going at it with tear gas, going at it with tear gas bombs, with petardos. It is some kind of an explosion that we got hit with one of them in our chest. Also the oppression by the police hitting the press.
They basically injured a lot of international press. And this is leading up because of the statements of the president saying that she doesn’t want to go to war with the cartel because she thinks that it is illegal, Steve. That is her statements, knowing that she has been consistently pressured due to the fact that, you know, the people are pressuring her to eliminate and eradicate this problem, and because they have been assassinating and they are killing the good one, Steve. And that is the number one reason why this protest started.
STEVE BANNON (HOST):
Oscar, put yourself in harm’s way about this amazing story that comes out of Central America and Mexico. Just incredible. Stick right there. We would get more details, more people to understand. I want you to tell this audience, because this uprising is an important thing, why it’s an uprising against a corrupt system and it’s the exact opposite of what you’re seeing the left here in the United States do, who are supporting a corrupt system. So Oscar, tell me about this mayor. Who is he? Why is he important? Why was he assassinated?
OSCAR RAMIREZ (GUEST):
That was as simple as that. He was always, he went as a mayor of an independent. He ran independent. He got out of the leftist political party because he said that it was a lot of corruption, and that is one of the reasons why the left political party in Mexico did not support him.He always confronted the cartel. He made always these videos saying I’m going after you and I’m going to use the law enforcement and the constitutional law. We just basically eradicate you, and the threats started happening to him. The people supported him a lot because he did not only support the family, you know, the hospitals to get better hospitals and also to get, you know, better the legal system in the city of Berwyn [sp], but also he sent a message that he wanted to be a governor and later on he was potentially going to be president and he was going to change our country.
And due to the fact that he was being threatened by the God of this, he started asking for help for the president to say, you know what, I need the military. I need people over here to combat and fight the cartels. This is the epicenter where it starts, and they never sent that help. And now the people know that it was the government and it was the state. And yesterday they were yelling on this massive protest, thousands of them. They were yelling narco president, you know, narco state, all of this.
It’s completely, drastically changing the direction of the mentality of the people. People are getting sick and tired of the cartel activity, the abductions, the extortions, the decapitations, the dismembered bodies, the mass graves, the complete extortion of businesses and entrepreneurs. You know, the kids, you know, the kids are saying we don’t have no future. The cartel is recruiting us and we are killing each other. This is the number one reason why we are rising, why we are changing the things.
And this is the reason why they did.
STEVE BANNON (HOST):
Is the president of Mexico bought and paid for by the cartels.OSCAR RAMIREZ (GUEST):
Ohh yes, absolutely. And I have not said this, yes, you know, until now everybody saying it and somebody’s controlling her. And the number one thing that triggered this, it is that after the assassination of capitalism she went on the morning conference. The first thing that she said, it was that she cannot go to war with the cartels because it is illegal. It’s illegal to decapitate. Illegal is to extortion. Illegal is to just terrorize the population. And you’re giving them the freedom to do all these horrible things to the population, and you come out in the morning conference and then you say that it’s illegal to go against the war, the cartel. That is what we need. We need to eradicate this problem, eliminate this problem and, you know, and get back the piece of the citizens.
STEVE BANNON (HOST):
Is that where these young people took to the streets yesterday and actually they basically attacked the presidential palace, did they not, yesterday.OSCAR RAMIREZ (GUEST):
Yes. Jumped the barricades. I was there in the front lines. We got video of it, you know. We got multiple times gassed up with tear gas. It was a full on confrontation.Because I was sitting down, Steve, after, you know, getting hit with multiple tear gas, and there were a couple of Gen Z’s helping me, giving me water. And I asked them, you know, this is not the way. And they said to me, Sir, you know, you guys have manifested yourself the whole, you know, this whole time. This is the only way we can send a message to the world that we are living under a narco state. This is the only way. And we have to take it to the streets. We have to send a message towards them that this is not the way that we have to, you know, basically handle the things.
