Rep. Matt Gaetz: “We Close This Border Or We Close This Government”

Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida joins Steve Bannon’s WarRoom live from Iowa and gives an assessment on the first caucus in the nation. Rep. Gaetz predicts that with over 100,000 new Republicans eligible to vote since 2016 despite record breaking freezing temperatures the caucus will see a strong voter turnout overwhelming for President Trump. He also addresses Nikki Hayley’s voter strategy looking forward to New Hampshire where she has focused her efforts on the state. Rep. Gaetz to look to the data around University of Iowa to see how effective her young voter strategy was as an indicator for New Hampshire.

Defense hawks have made it clear to Speaker Johnson that they oppose a CR but for different reasons than MAGA. Funding for certain programs like hypersonic missiles and Artificial Intelligence will not be included in the case of a CR. Rep. Gaetz praises Speaker Johnson for stepping away from Obama era defense spending where non-defense discretionary spending is attached to the conversation.
