Bernie Moreno, the GOP Senate candidate from Ohio, appeared on Tuesday’s WarRoom program and discussed his campaign’s focus on election integrity and the critical impact of illegal immigration. Addressing concerns about voter rolls and border security, Moreno showed his commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process.
“Ohio is a bellwether state, and the outcome here could tip the balance of power in Washington,” Moreno said. “We need to ensure that every vote counts and that our communities are protected from the consequences of out-of-control immigration.”
Moreno began by detailing Ohio’s efforts to clean up its voter rolls, stating, “We knocked out a hundred thousand people who should not be on the voter rolls.”
This initiative aims to prevent ballot fraud by ensuring that only eligible voters receive mail-in ballots. Moreno criticized the Democrats’ response, arguing, “The left-wing media and Democrats are freaking out, claiming it’s about voter suppression. What they ignore is the basic fact that every modern country requires proof of citizenship to vote.”
Addressing the broader issue of illegal immigration for the nation, Moreno pointed to severe local impacts. He described the situation in Springfield, Ohio, where an influx of 20,000 immigrants has led to a housing crisis and overwhelmed city services.
Moreno said, “The price of housing is completely out of control. City services are breaking down. Hospitals are struggling with disease outbreaks, including HIV.” He emphasized the strain on local communities, attributing these problems to federal policies allowing unchecked immigration.
On Tuesday, Moreno told host Kash Patel that his campaign is also tackling the broader implications of illegal immigration. He asserted that the current administration’s policies are exacerbating crime and drug problems. “Fentanyl is ravaging communities throughout Ohio,” he said. “We need to restore control of our borders to combat the drug cartels and protect American citizens.”
He also tool the opportunity to criticize his opponents for their stance on immigration and election integrity, saying, “We need leaders who will take a stand against illegal immigration and ensure our elections are secure.” He emphasized that his campaign is about more than just policies; it’s about defending American values and ensuring Ohioans’ safe, prosperous future.
Moreno’s campaign has been active in rallying grassroots support, encouraging volunteers to participate in various efforts to secure the election process. He urged supporters to join his campaign by visiting the website, saying, “Sign up for Trump Force 47 to help with door knocking and voter integrity. Every contribution, whether big or small, makes a difference.”
