The journey of MAGA LIONS began on Gettr, a social media platform where Joe, @BikerforTrump1968, connected with @Maggie2096 during their campaign to prevent Kevin McCarthy from becoming Speaker of the House. Joe’s support for McCarthy waned after he urged President Trump to resign following the January 6th protest and accepted Biden’s election without contest. These events spurred Joe to investigate McCarthy’s term and seek out alternatives.
“A unique thing about our team is that all five of us live about a thousand miles apart from each other. We have never met each other in person. Never had any zoom meetings. Everything we do is Force Multiplying strictly on Social Media” – Joe @ABikerforTrump1968, Gettr
While researching, Joe discovered Ballotpedia (a comprehensive election resource) that inspired him to share the website on Gettr. Maggie "liked” and reposted his findings, and soon, @Jasondahl joined the conversation, sharing candidates from Montana. This collaboration sparked an idea: why not form a team dedicated to listing MAGA candidates? Thus, MAGA LIONS was born.
The concept quickly gained traction, and the team expanded as more people resonated with their mission. @CCMiddleton came aboard as a promoter, while Jason, the primary candidate hunter, contributed around 70% of the names. @Maggie2096 and @Maggiemule85 specialized in amplifying the lists across social media. As the team leader, Joe focused on producing and organizing the lists.
The MAGA LIONS structured their lists into three categories: current incumbents they supported on blue paper, new MAGA candidates awaiting primaries on white paper, and candidates who won their primaries on yellow paper. Constant updates were necessary as they discovered new candidates and identified red flags. Joe’s daily struggle was with Gettr’s character limit, which allowed them to list up to only seven candidates per post.
Despite the challenges, their system proved to be highly effective. The MAGA LIONS list rapidly gained momentum, with each team member playing a crucial role in its growth and outreach. Their unwavering commitment to maintaining and updating these lists ensured they were well-prepared for every election cycle. Additionally, they established a presence on Truth Social to safeguard their efforts against potential platform changes.
With their dedication to the War Room, Steve Bannon fueled their drive. Each day WarRoom motivated them to continue their mission with renewed vigor. As they look to the future, the MAGA LIONS remain steadfast in their pledge, tirelessly compiling and sharing valuable information on candidates who align with their MAGA values.
“Weakness destroys a Country, and we are seeing it play out in real time. MAGA only gets stronger. We will never give up our land of the Free and the home of the Brave.” – Joe @ABikerforTrump1968, Gettr
The story of MAGA LIONS is a testament to the power of grassroots activism and collective collaboration. What started as a small effort to oppose a single politician blossomed into a robust network of like-minded individuals committed to a shared cause. Their journey exemplifies how determination, teamwork, and strategic use of social media can effect meaningful change.
