Rep. Lauren Boebert talks to host Steve Bannon about the historic day in Congress when Kevin McCarthy failed on three votes to be elected speaker of the House.
“Kevin McCarthy does not have the votes at this time…We have to stand for what we believe in, what we promised the American voter, and… I want the Republican conference to be united, and … yesterday we had a path forward to walk out of here united with leader McCarthy being supportive of that path… but instead as a part of those discussions with leader McCarthy, repeatedly he said that he wanted Freedom Caucus members to participate on more key committees, but said he’s had a hard time getting them there. So we responded with recommendations on who to put where, we requested a commitment for border security, term limits, energy and debt reduction bills… and Kevin McCarthy had asn opportunity to be speaker on the first ballot… but he firmly rejected the offer.”
