Ben Harnwell, host of the Warroom, and Richard Stern from the Heritage Foundation appeared on Thursday’s program. They shed light on the Biden-Harris administration’s economic policies, mainly focusing on how the Democratic regime manipulated job numbers and the broader economic impact of those kinds of policy decisions on everyday Americans.
Stern stated, "The left will tell you that there’s all these different causes to inflation. There was only one cause…when the government creates more money out of thin air, period.”
According to him, these phantom jobs were part of a broader scheme where the government printed trillions of dollars, causing inflation and devaluing the currency in the process
The conversation was sparked by a New York Times article that understated the creation of 118,000 fewer jobs than initially reported. Stern and Harnwell argued that this was an error and a deliberate attempt to gaslight the American public into believing in a nonexistent economic recovery.
Here is what CNBC reported about the situation:
“The U.S. economy created 818,000 fewer jobs than originally reported in the 12-month period through March 2024, the Labor Department reported Wednesday.
As part of its preliminary annual benchmark revisions to the nonfarm payroll numbers, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said the actual job growth was nearly 30% less than the initially reported 2.9 million from April 2023 through March of this year.”
Stern was particularly vocal about the administration’s tactics, accusing them of fabricating job numbers to create a false narrative of success.
He revealed that the Bureau of Labor Statistics had inflated job reports by 800,000 positions, which existed only on paper.
Stern emphasized that this inflation primarily benefited those close to the government, leaving ordinary Americans to bear the brunt of the economic fallout. "The administration is effectively stealing from the American people,” Stern said, noting that while those in power profit, the public is left with depreciated dollars and a false sense of security.
Harnwell expanded on Stern’s points, highlighting the disconnect between stock market gains and the reality faced by most Americans. He argued that while the stock market might show signs of prosperity, these gains are largely inaccessible to the average person.
Instead, Harnwell pointed out, they benefit those already at the top of the economic ladder, leaving ordinary citizens with what he described as a “sore backside.” Harnwell pointed out that despite being told the economy is recovering, Americans are acutely aware of their struggles. He said, "Americans know they are struggling, and the government is lying about the numbers.”
According to Harnwell, this deliberate misinformation leaves everyday people with nothing but "confetti in their hands,” a metaphor for the worthless currency that results from rampant inflation and economic mismanagement.
Stern also took aim at the left’s propaganda efforts, which he claimed were once their strong suit but are now failing. "The left is only good at propaganda, and now they are not even good at that anymore,” Stern remarked. He argued that the government’s ability to shape the narrative is weakening as more Americans see through the lies and feel the economic pain in their daily lives.
In a crushing critique of political leadership, Stern stated that “politicians are the last edge, not the leading edge,” suggesting that elected officials often follow rather than lead new movements.
He argued that the true solution lies in spreading the message about government overreach and the economic realities facing Americans. Stern stressed the importance of a grassroots movement, akin to the WarRoom posse, to challenge and ultimately stop the government from further economic manipulation.
"We need a robust movement like the WarRoom posse to stop the government, and that is what will solve the problem,” Stern concluded, urging listeners to take action in spreading the truth and reclaiming control over their economic future.
Stern and Harnwell agreed that there is a critical need for Americans to be aware and active in countering misinformation and economic exploitation by those in power.
