Steve Bannon called for every U.S. senator who met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky before he met with President Trump to be primaried from the Saturday WarRoom program. Meanwhile, Trump, sitting in front of a Peace Corps flag on Friday, made it clear—he wants to be remembered as a peacemaker who stopped the threats of World War Three.
“Every one of those people should be primaried,” Bannon declared on WarRoom. “They convinced Zelensky he had cards to play. They told him to throw down with Trump at the White House,” Bannon said refering to a disasterous Friday meeting between President Trump, Vice President Vance and Ukraine President Zelensky.
Bannon’s Battle Cry: Primary Them All
Bannon blasted Ukraine president Zelensky and the American politicians who were encouraging a general flippant approach to war and American taxpayer funds. Speaking from Texas, Bannon slammed the bipartisan group of senators who met with Zelensky on February 15th at the Munich Security Conference. To Bannon, this was a betrayal of President Trump’s America First agenda.

The Breakdown
After Zelensky had promised to Sec, State Marco Rubio that he was ready to sign a deal with Trump on Friday, Zelensky started walking that promise back, which led to a total breakdown of the meeting:

This is the Feb.15th meeting Bannon refers to, where Zelensky was made to feel like he had significant leverage over Trump’s deal by US Senators:
Instead of getting Kash Patel confirmed this past week, Senate Uni-Party RINO traitors led by Lindsey Graham are hanging out with that POS coke head Zelensky! This is all on Majority Leader John Thune. Are you pissed off yet? pic.twitter.com/rlQB2mEFrd

The list of senators at that meeting includes establishment Republicans like Lindsey Graham, John Cornyn, and Thom Tillis—names that many in the MAGA base already distrust. But it wasn’t just Republicans. Democrats like Adam Schiff, Richard Blumenthal, and Chris Coons were also in on the meeting.

Bannon’s message? These politicians are keeping America entangled in foreign wars. “No American money. No American arms. No American security guarantee. No backstop,” Bannon warned. “It’s not gonna happen.”
The populist firebrand sees these senators as enablers of Ukraine’s never-ending demands. “Zelensky’s an ingrate,” Bannon said bluntly on Saturday. “Not just about saying thank you—Americans don’t need a thank you. But we do need Europeans to step up.”
Bannon made it clear: the Republican establishment’s days are numbered.
Trump: ‘I Want to Be Remembered as a Peacemaker’
While Bannon was calling for political warfare, President Trump was making history. In a stunning moment, WarRoom White House correspondent Brian Glenn asked Trump what he wanted his legacy to be. Trump’s response was immediate.
“Yes, I do consider myself a peacemaker,” Trump said.
Sitting before a Peace Corps flag, Trump laid out his vision. He spoke about using economic leverage—not military force—to bring an end to the war in Ukraine. He wants peace, a ceasefire, and a diplomatic resolution that ends the bloodshed.
“The killing and slaughter in Ukraine deeply affects the president,” Bannon noted. “President Trump is using that economic deal to lay the predicate to get to a ceasefire.”
This wasn’t just talk. Trump had already made moves, crafting an economic deal to bring Ukraine to the table. And yet, Zelensky, emboldened by his Senate backers, walked into the White House and tried to play hardball.
Zelensky’s attitude, his "blatant disrespect,” as Glenn described it, didn’t sit well with Trump’s team.
“You don’t talk over the president,” Bannon fumed. “You don’t walk into the Oval Office and start demanding security guarantees when you’ve already been given billions.”
The War Inside the GOP
Bannon’s call for primaries isn’t just about Ukraine. It’s about the more significant battle between the MAGA movement and the GOP establishment.
On one side, you have Trump, working to end wars and prioritize American interests. On the other, you have senators—Republicans included—keeping the war machine running.
Bannon’s message to the base? Take them out.
“This is why we’re in Texas,” Bannon said. “The epicenter of a political revolution.”
The battle lines are drawn. The 2025 primaries are coming. And Bannon is making it clear: there will be no mercy.
