The Tennessee special election has turned into a real warning shot for Republicans, with Alex DeGrasse pointing out how a district Trump carried by twenty-two points is now sitting within the margin and showing clear signs that Democrats are far more focused, organized, and activated than the GOP base heading into the holiday week.

Alex was on the WarRoom last week breaking down the redistricting wars and the key states in play, with full updates here: Alex DeGrasse Warns: “Net 10 Minimum” Needed in Redistricting Fight.

WATCH THE CLIP BELOW:

This clip aired on WarRoom’s morning show on November 26, 2025. Transcript begins below (lightly edited for clarity; may contain minor errors).

ALEX DEGRASSE: 🚨TENNESSEE POSSE DIG IN! GET EVERYONE OUT AND VOTE!!🚨 Democrats Are All-In On The Tennessee Special Election. If We Let This Slip, It’s Disaster

STEVE BANNON (HOST): Indiana. Now, out of nowhere, and this is another example of the Republican establishment. All of a sudden they don’t want to do redistricting, right? It was hard enough before, but now they’re actually tougher to move than the Democrats. So what’s happened in Indiana? Is this true, Alex, that they actually are going to call everybody back, I guess, for a special session in a couple of weeks, sir?

ALEX DEGRASSE (GUEST): Yeah, so it’s huge, Steve. So last we spoke, we were sort of on the ropes. Obviously there was a lot of reverse movement against us on this effort. I know the Posse was out there grinding, and we’ve got to obviously run through the tape. But the House is convening, and we’ve got the votes, 9 to 0, out of the State House. That’s going to happen next week. And then the following week, the State Senate reversed course, and now they’re planning on bringing people back together. Of course they’re not publicly confirming whether they’ve got the votes or not. But of course, I don’t know if they think that they would be going back on cancelling and then doing it back if they don’t have the vote.

So we’ve got to pressure. That’s the key focal point, that State Senate. We’ve got to keep the pressure up, positive reinforcement. I mean, obviously the President threatened the primary of them. I’m sure that’s what is driving this, to be frank about it. But this is real serious because we’re talking 9 to 0. We’re not talking 8 to 1 as of right now. So we’ve got to keep that going, because that’s the two seats that we need, and it’s huge obviously.

STEVE BANNON (HOST): Do you have a sense that we’re getting now more people focused on knowing Virginia? And I’ve been talking to John Fredericks nonstop because John knows Virginia better than anybody. They seem to be just leaning on their shovels waiting for this, hopefully the courts to bail them out on this monumental referendum they’re going to have in April about where they go 10 to 1 from 6, 5. But do you get a sense around the country that the message is getting out there, that President Trump is now very engaged in this, and this is something that’s a must do, not a nice to have, but a must have, sir?

ALEX DEGRASSE (GUEST): Yeah, I do, Steve. I think that because of the Democrat escalations, of course, you know, it’s one thing when it’s sort of a distant problem and people are happy, happy, and they live in their nice Republican state. But hey, word’s out. The knives are out. They’ve got their bayonets, they’re sharp, and the Democrats are running full force at this thing. And we stand to lose seats in some of these states, which I spoke about, right? So now the game is on. There’s literally no excuse for any Republican, anyone that calls himself a Republican, from not manning the ramparts and pushing this thing, not just back but forward, of course, Steve.

So in those key states, and I feel optimistic about the Supreme Court on VRA. Florida, I know, is going to come in big. And so, you know, if we keep the pressure up, we’re looking at those 10 seats, of course. But a lot of sort of unknowns on litigation, whether it be Virginia, Utah, some other folks. New York as well. They’re looking to Staten Island.

STEVE BANNON (HOST): So look, this is the activist show. It’s the reason it’s so powerful, because this audience, we’re breaking it down in kind of the critical path. Clearly, and President Trump, I think you’re seeing pivoting, Beston pivoting. There’s people, there’s talking in the White House, not just messaging but additional actions are going to be taken. Thinking of 26. Thinking of 28. In the process of doing that, the redistricting wars have to be won now. You’ve got to get in the trenches, just like if Alex DeGrasse hadn’t come to the WarRoom in 21 and started talking about how Florida was going, you know, was going to just leave. The legislature was just going to leave and no changes. We wouldn’t have gotten those, I think, eight and that ten pickup that we hold the House by today.

Let’s be blunt about it. The same thing has to happen here. I don’t want anybody to get their eyes off and start thinking downrange of 26. Right now you’ve got to think, get in the trenches. We’ve got to win these redistricting wars. They’re the highest priority, because they set the predicate for what the battlefield is going to be coming up in 26. And obviously President Trump and his people are getting the folks who are getting a real action plan to hit this, which I think you agree, Alex. We need to do.

I’ll let you go. Want to thank you. I just want to get fear for this. People could hear that Indiana, they’ll say there is some movement, and particularly the House Senate is going to come back.

Alex, where do people go to follow you? Because you’re kind of the social media account where people go for breaking news on all this.

ALEX DEGRASSE (GUEST): Yeah, Steve, I think it was a huge group effort with the Posse, obviously, the last go around redistricting, of course. And then I’m at @Degrasse81. But let me just say something quick, Steve, because an Emerson poll just popped out in Tennessee special elections. So if you’re in the Posse there, get out, get your list, get five people, because they’ve got that down by two points. Republicans up by two points in a seat that President Trump won by 22 points, according to an independent poll that just released in the last hour. And so that’s no joke here, guys. I mean, Dems, Kamala was just on the ground there. So you get a lock in on Tennessee. You’ve got to get out to vote.

STEVE BANNON (HOST): So talk to us about that district. That’s a controversial one. The candidate runs a Democrat. You know, she hates Nashville. She hates country music. But besides that, she’s perfect as a congressman from there. Give us a minute on that because you’re right. This is on Tuesday. I think early voting’s already stopped. Tuesday is the election, and if the Democrats are able to pick this one up, they will be banging the drum, and you’ll get sick of listening to them. So this is one we got to win. Like you said, President Trump, it was a blowout. I mean, this is 22 points. As you know, Tennessee is this magazine get. But particularly, once again, just give us a quick synopsis of the story before you punch.

ALEX DEGRASSE (GUEST): Yeah, I mean, the big thing, Steve, is like Democrats have gone all in. This is turnout. Special election. People are out living their lives. Our people are doing the holiday. Our people work. You know, our people are just not, but I mean our people, the wider, you know, average Republican voter, right? Their guys are locked in. They are really, really manically focused on doing all they can. If we let this one slip up, the implications going into the midterms are a disaster, because you’re going to see Democrat money flood in like you can’t imagine. They will expand the map. They will flood in. This thing will start slipping away from us, despite even the redistricting war. I’ll be frank about that.

So this is critical. It’s critical outfit. It’s the number one thing right now. If you’re in Tennessee, if you’re not even in Tennessee, there’s lots of ways to get involved. I’ll throw it up on my socials. You’ve got to dig in. We’ve got to get everyone out. You know people in there. Of course, the Democrat is a total lunatic. Whoever is going to appear with Kamala Harris is obviously psychotic. But that’s what we’re dealing with, of course, Steve. So it’s no joke. Nothing should take anything for granted.

STEVE BANNON (HOST): You can’t take anything for granted nowadays. Redistricting, special elections, next fall. Nothing can be taken for granted.
