Congressmen Bob Good and Dave Brat raised severe concerns on Thursday’s WarRoom about the Biden-Harris administration’s stance on U.S. sovereignty. They focused on a potential shift in governance power to the United Nations (U.N.). According to both Congressional insiders, the Biden-Harris administration is moving toward giving international bodies more authority over American governance, a step they believe would undermine constitutional principles.
"The American people need to know what the Biden-Harris administration is trying to do,” Good stated, highlighting the ongoing battle over U.S. sovereignty and the broader implications for American governance and freedom.
Bob Good was particularly vocal, claiming that the Biden-Harris administration does not believe in “American exceptionalism” or “American sovereignty.” He argued that the administration’s policies are aimed at eroding the Constitution and surrendering U.S. governance to the U.N. "They want to destroy the Constitution, destroy our founding Christian principles, and surrender our sovereignty to the U.N.,” Good asserted. He warned that these efforts are part of a larger agenda to weaken the United States’ leadership on the world stage and diminish its role as a beacon of freedom.
Good pointed to an ongoing U.N. summit, where he said discussions were underway to shift the U.N. from a cooperative entity to a governing body, granting it unprecedented authority to act during global crises, including health emergencies or environmental disasters. "This weekend, they’re going to vote to change from a cooperative entity to a governing entity,” he explained, criticizing the lack of transparency and public awareness about these developments. "Most of the American people, and sadly, most of Congress, don’t even know about it,” Good lamented.
Brat echoed these concerns, emphasizing that the broader American public, as well as many conservative leaders, are unaware of the U.N.’s expanding influence. "This is the most important issue getting the least amount of attention,” Brat said. He attributed this lack of coverage to the mainstream media and even conservative outlets, which, he claimed, have been silent on the matter. "The American people simply don’t know about it… they’re hearing about the border, the debt, the election, but not this,” Brat said, highlighting the disconnect between the issues dominating the national conversation and what he views as the real threat to American sovereignty.
Good and Brat also targeted the World Health Organization (WHO), accusing it of being a tool for Communist China during the COVID-19 pandemic. "The WHO was a tool of Communist China during the China virus situation. They parroted the talking points of China and covered up for them,” Good remarked, calling for the U.S. to defund the WHO and withdraw from the organization. He expressed hope that former President Donald Trump would return to office and reinstate his previous withdrawal from the WHO, saying, "Hopefully President Trump will be president again and do that again.”
For Good, the issue goes beyond policy disagreements; it strikes at the heart of U.S. constitutional governance. "It’s unconstitutional for us to surrender our sovereignty, our governance, to any international organization… We swear an oath to the Constitution, not the U.N.,” Good emphasized. He pointed out that any treaty or agreement of this magnitude should require Senate ratification, or at the very least, congressional oversight. "This is a backdoor treaty, and it needs Senate ratification,” Good warned, urging Americans to become more informed about the Biden administration’s actions.
Both Brat and Good concluded with a call for public awareness, stressing that the American people need to understand the gravity of these developments.
