Pro and Con: Two Conservatives Square Off Over Kevin McCarthy’s Bid for Speaker

Steve Bannon interviews Steve Cortes and Rep. Matt Gaetz, two conservatives who take a different approach to the question of whether Rep. Kevin McCarthy should be elected speaker of the House. Cortes is one of the few conservatives who supports McCarthy, along with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and President Trump. He says McCarthy was the only Republican leader who prevailed in 2022 and should be rewarded for his success. Gaetz says that McCarthy has been on the wrong side of too many decisions in the past and doesn’t deserve another chance.
