On Friday’s WarRoom program, Peter Navarro raised the alarm over severe national security risks posed by Democrat Vice President candidate, Congressman Tim Walz due to Waltz’s extensive connections with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Walz has often bragged that he has visited mainland China over 30 times, and experts have reminded Americans that is a sign of acceptance by the Chinese Communist Party.
Navarro highlighted Walz’s history of positive engagements with China, noting, "Waltz has built a lucrative business that regularly brought American students to China on the Chinese dime.”
Navarro’s Friday critique centers on those close alliances Walz’s longstanding business dealings with the CCP and his controversial stances on U.S.-China relations, which Navarro argues absolutely will endanger American interests and demolish the America First agenda for the American people.
He criticized Walz’s tendency to praise China’s authoritarian regime while opposing measures to hold Beijing accountable for its aggressive actions. This includes Walz’s opposition to Trump tariffs on Chinese goods, which Navarro described as essential for protecting American industries from Beijing’s predatory practices. Navarro stated, "Waltz’s reluctance to confront China’s aggressive actions in the South China Sea and his silence on human rights abuses are troubling signs.”
Navarro emphasized that Walz’s connections to the CCP and his public praise of China’s government represent a significant national security risk. "Tim Walz’s ties to China present a clear economic and national security risk,” Navarro asserted. He pointed out that Walz’s business ventures and his close ties to Chinese officials could lead to conflicts of interest if he were to hold a higher political office.
"His connections with Chinese government officials and his willingness to speak alongside leaders of CCP front groups are red flags,” Navarro said.
Adding to his concerns, Navarro criticized Walz for his actions during the Tiananmen Square massacre anniversary, calling it "a troubling sign of his alignment with Chinese interests.” Navarro also suggested that Walz’s favorable stance towards China could undermine U.S. efforts to counteract Beijing’s influence, including its actions against Taiwan and its human rights abuses. "Waltz’s positions on China could allow the CCP to have its way with America,” Navarro warned.
Navarro’s analysis exposes Walz’s potential impact on U.S. national security. He argued that Walz’s track record raises questions about his ability to protect American interests from foreign adversaries.
"When you have a political figure who has been so deeply involved with a regime known for its human rights abuses and aggressive global strategies, it’s crucial to scrutinize their potential influence on our national security policies,” Navarro concluded.
Overall, Navarro’s remarks underscore a significant concern about the implications of Walz’s connections with China on U.S. security. As Navarro predicts, the potential for Walz to shape national policy in a way that could favor Chinese interests remains a critical issue for voters to consider.
