“It has to start with clearing our decks … of the people who are playing for the other team…. You cannot conceivably contend with an adversary that has been working as hard as the Chinese Communists have… for decades with people in senior positions of leadership, whether it’s in government… [or elsewhere], they are all compromised is not an adequate term for it. They have all been making deals with the Chinese that I think constitute betrayal of our country… Or in senior positions of business, or the financial sector or the media or elsewhere. This has to stop.”
