The Daschle Group, whose executive leadership is linked to the Biden family, recently registered to represent Ukraine as foreign lobbyists, filings from the Department of Justice reveal.
Founded by former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle, the lobbying shop also counts his son, Nathan Daschle, as its President and Chief Operating Officer. Both names appear on the infamous Hunter Biden hard drive, which contains emails suggesting President Joe Biden’s son retains close relationships – personal and professional – with the father-and-son lobbyist duo.
The Daschle Group began representing the United Kingdom Office of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation on February 14th, 2023. Pinchuk is a Ukrainian oligarch who is also one of the “biggest donors to the Clinton Global Initiative,” according to The Financial Times.
The Daschle Group pledged to assist the Victor Pinchuk Foundation by “bringing an exhibit on Russian war crimes against Ukraine to the United States Congress.” “The Registrant will coordinate with United States Members of Congress to arrange for the display of the exhibit,” explains the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) filing.
The exhibit is supposed to be on display directly inside of the “United States Capitol complex,” the filing continues.
To achieve this objective, representatives from The Daschle Group have liaised with several high-level members of the Biden White House, including Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, Under Secretary for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, and US Agency for International Aid and Development Administrator Samantha Power.
“Although the Ukrainian Government does not own or control the Foreign Principal, the Ukrainian Government is the principal beneficiary of the Registrant’s activities as they relate to the exhibit,” claims the filing.
The Daschle Group also reports that it will receive no compensation for its work on behalf of the Ukrainian foreign agent.
Evidenced through exclusive emails found on the hard drive of Hunter Biden, the Daschle family appears to be in contact with the president’s son, as Hunter has maintained email correspondence with both Tom Daschle and Nathan Daschle since the 2010s.
A June 4th, 2012 email even reveals Nathan Daschle inviting Hunter Biden to a private business dinner:
“a few guys from the startup scene and i are pulling together a group of dc folks to form an angel investor pool. attached is some info. we are inviting some of the more successful lawyers and lobbyists who also like to make side investments. i thought you or someone you know might be interested.”
On September 23rd, 2014, Tom Daschle personally emailed Hunter Biden to offer gratitude for his attendance at a National Democratic Institute (NDI) board meeting. “We enjoyed having you join us at the board meeting and look forward to your continued involvement with the institute,” wrote the former Senate leader.
Following the death of Beau Biden, Nathan Daschle also emailed Hunter Biden to express condolences and offer “love to all,” while also emphasizing “if there is ever anything that any of us can do for you or your family, please let me know. We would enthusiastically,” in a separate email to Hunter Biden two months later.
Correspondence from the first son’s hard drive also reveals Nathan Daschle and Hunter Biden coordinating a coffee meeting in September 2015.
The status of erecting a Russian war crimes exhibit on U.S. Capitol grounds remains unknown, though the ongoing corruption and money laundering amidst the Russia-Ukraine War is well-documented. This arrangement may represent another prime example of how D.C. elites with ties to the Biden family are profiting in a variety of ways from the war.
