In a blistering Monday WarRoom broadcast, Steve Bannon went scorched earth on Senate Republican leadership, accusing them of betraying President Trump, sabotaging the America First agenda, and protecting the corrupt establishment with procedural trickery that keeps Trump’s key appointments in limbo.
"This was a fiasco,” Bannon said, referring to the Senate’s refusal to adjourn for an actual recess. "It’s not that they fumbled the ball — they handed it to the other team.” According to Bannon, the Senate is deliberately holding fake "pro forma” sessions to block President Trump from making crucial recess appointments — a move he’s fully entitled to make under the Constitution.
"President Trump should have made 160 appointments this week,” Bannon said. "They should be at work right now. But Senate leadership lied to the President. They’ve kept him boxed in by design.”

Bannon’s fury centered on one point: the GOP establishment has no intention of allowing Trump to govern effectively. "They don’t trust Trump. They don’t trust MAGA. They’ve never supported the policies of this country,” he said. "They’re not nationalists. They’re globalists. Look at Ukraine. Look at the spending.”

He called Speaker Johnson ("Polly Pockets”) out for cowardice: "Afraid to call the House back? That was a bald-faced lie. Read the Constitution. Or ask someone to explain it to you.”
