Deep State Exposure Accelerates: Papadopoulos and Bannon Demand Accountability
On Wednesday’s WarRoom, Steve Bannon and George Papadopoulos laid out an explosive roadmap of criminality, collusion, and intelligence agency overreach that they say has undermined American democracy for nearly a decade. With Donald J. Trump currently serving as President, the discussion focused on renewed efforts to dismantle the so-called "Deep State”—a term Bannon defines as "the administrative state and intelligence apparatus that protects the uniparty and their globalist allies.”

Papadopoulos, former Trump campaign adviser and a central figure in the 2016 Crossfire Hurricane investigation, told Bannon that former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan are now the focus of a criminal investigation. "This isn’t about lying to Congress anymore,” Papadopoulos said. "This is about conspiring to defraud the U.S. government, using illicit surveillance, and coordinating with foreign intelligence to interfere in the 2016 election.”
According to Papadopoulos, his under-oath congressional testimony—particularly before Rep. John Ratcliffe—sparked this new wave of scrutiny. That testimony revealed how Western intelligence actors, often at the behest of Brennan’s CIA, used foreign assets to entrap Trump campaign officials and justify the illegal FISA surveillance of American citizens.
"They weaponized foreign intelligence against a sitting president,” Bannon said, adding that this effort extended far beyond 2016. "They got away with it, so they did it again in 2020—and now they’re trying to destroy Trump a third time.”
Papadopoulos noted that the Durham Report, while exposing misconduct, failed to hold key figures accountable. He said Durham "acted as a firewall,” carefully limiting the scope of his probe. "He never touched the CIA. The only reason we’re getting traction now is because Matt Gaetz, Kash Patel, Ric Grenell—and even some inside the DOJ—are not letting this die,” Papadopoulos explained.
Bannon said the Deep State believes it is "untouchable,” and that its real power lies in its ability to outlast administrations, deflect oversight, and weaponize process. "These people operate like a cartel,” he added, naming Brennan, Comey, Clapper, and elements inside the NSA as part of a permanent bureaucracy that targets political enemies under the guise of national security.
They agreed that this ongoing investigation must go public—with arrests, document dumps, and declassifications, not "another thousand-page report no one reads.” Papadopoulos argued that the timing is critical: "If this isn’t cleaned up before November, they’ll steal it again.”
Both men emphasized that the Deep State’s grip extends far beyond D.C.—into Wall Street, Silicon Valley, and international alliances. "They don’t just hate Trump. They hate America-first. They hate the American people choosing their own destiny,” Bannon warned.
Papadopoulos closed by saying the window for action is narrow but real. "They tried to destroy me, they tried to destroy Trump, but we’re still here. We don’t quit. And if we don’t quit—we win.”
Bannon echoed the call for full exposure: "President Trump is in office. He has the authority. It’s time to burn it down—legally, methodically, and with receipts.”
