In a compelling on-the-ground report from Indianapolis, Indiana, host of RAV’s Law and Border, Ben Bergquam joined Steve Bannon on WarRoom to detail a surprising ICE operation that is part of President Donald Trump’s escalating deportation strategy. Bergquam’s account from the Midwest underscored a critical shift in immigration enforcement efforts, demonstrating that the heartland is now a frontline in the administration’s broader crackdown on illegal immigration.
Bergquam, embedded with ICE during an early morning raid, expressed surprise at the scale and intensity of operations taking place in a traditionally low-profile region. "We started at 4:30 a.m. with four targets and got four hits,” Bergquam reported. "We even picked up three ‘collaterals’—illegals who were found with our targets.” He emphasized that contrary to media narratives, illegal immigration isn’t just a border-state issue: "Our borders are every state, every city, everywhere in our country.”
The operation highlighted a stark contrast between sanctuary cities like Chicago—just three hours north—and non-sanctuary zones like Indianapolis, where ICE is free to carry out its mission without obstruction from local authorities. According to Bergquam, ICE agents in these areas are active and more determined than ever. "Their resolve has never been stronger. The more the media and radicals attack them, the more focused they become,” he said, praising the field office in Chicago and noting that such operations happen daily.
Bannon reinforced this message, citing internal administration discussions involving senior officials like Stephen Miller and former ICE Director Tom Homan. "We’ve recommended to double and triple down,” Bannon said. "Stephen Miller is telling Chrissy: we need a 3,000-a-day minimum—that’s a million a year. That’s what’s in the budget.”
Under President Trump’s leadership, deportation efforts are accelerating. The administration has committed to mass deportation as a matter of national sovereignty and security. Bannon noted that the plan isn’t just about numbers—it’s about reversing what he described as a "10 million person invasion in four years.” He warned that America risks permanently losing control of its borders without decisive action.
The discussion also touched on the intersection of immigration and rising domestic unrest. Bannon raised concerns about what he described as a merger between foreign nationals, radical leftists, and jihadist elements, suggesting that a summer of civil instability could provide fuel for further chaos. Bergquam agreed, warning that leftist groups exploit every flashpoint to justify violence and undermine law enforcement.
Despite these threats, Bergquam insisted the ICE officers he encountered remain undeterred. "They are doing this for the Constitution and for the safety of our nation,” he said. "They’ve been attacked and demonized so much that they’ve developed thick skin—and now, it’s like they feed off of it. They know who they are, and they’re proud of the oath they’ve sworn.”
In a nod to shifting momentum, Bannon praised Texas Governor Greg Abbott—long criticized as weak on border enforcement—for recently deploying the National Guard in support of deportation efforts in San Antonio. "Even some of these squishes are starting to get the message,” Bannon said. "The resolve is spreading.”
With more operations planned and media coverage expanding through Real America’s Voice and Frontline America, Bergquam and Bannon declared the immigration fight far from over. "We’ve talked about this for years,” Bergquam said. "But the real fight—under President Trump—is just getting started.”
