Steve Bannon’s message about being a political prisoner, delivered Tuesday during his conversation with Tucker Carlson, is a stark warning about the existential threat facing American society: the managed decline of the United States government and our Constitution.

Bannon is the next man up, in a string of political prisoners who have been persecuted for their support of President Donald J. Trump and the America First agenda.

Bannon will likely be serving prison time for 2 misdemeanors in a federal prison starting July 1.  He talked about the details of his appeal, saying he is willing to go to the Supreme Court on this issue, and he is also unafraid of serving his time.

Bannon reminded Carlson during their Tuesday exchange, that he is still personally rooted in solutions to the mess that faces the United States, in the Constitution, and in  principles of freedom and civil liberties.

A LITTLE BACKGROUND

Civil liberties and principles of freedom are fundamental concepts enshrined in the United States Constitution through various amendments, particularly in the Bill of Rights and subsequent amendments.

THIS IS WHY BANNON IS WILLING TO STAND

Bannon was clear: sending political opponents to prison is not merely a political disagreement, but a fundamental assault on the very fabric of American values and democracy.

Bannon told Carlson that he is focused on his mission to help save the American Republic.

In Bannon’s view, certain political forces are actively working to erode the foundations of American democracy and traditional values. He describes these forces as an “illegitimate regime” that has taken control of the government apparatus and is enforcing dictatorial power. Drawing parallels to the 1776 Revolutionary generation’s struggle against the dictatorial power of the British Crown and entities like the British East India Company, Bannon paints a picture of a nation in crisis, facing threats from within.

Bannon told Carlson that this is not a time for despair for him, but a call to action. He urges Americans to wake up to the reality of the managed decline, to recognize the grave threat it poses, and to stand up in defense of their freedoms, as they are ‘the next man up” in his absence.

Despite facing prison time for his political beliefs, Bannon said he remains resolute in his commitment to the cause of American liberty. He sees his impending imprisonment not as a defeat, but as another opportunity to serve his country. Just as he served on a Navy destroyer in his youth.

Bannon’s message resonates with many who share his concerns about the direction of the country. He reminds us that the fight for freedom is ongoing and that each of us has a role to play in defending it.

Bannon reminds listeners that no matter the challenges we face, we must never lose sight of what we are fighting for: the principles of freedom, democracy, and justice that define the American spirit.
