I am a software developer working as a subcontractor, I was assigned recently to the CBP one application. I had no idea what the application actually did, I found out during the Vice Presidential debate when I realized that what I have been assigned to work on was actually an instrument for the government to break its own laws. Forgive me for my ignorance.
I have a proposal, and I need to get in touch with someone with authority in the new Trump administration. The same app that was used to break the law can be used to create a MASS DEPORTATION. CBP One has detailed data including PI phone/tracking information. It can be repurposed as a tool that could track down millions illegals for removal; CBP One's greatest value is its database.
I am certain that this database will likely be erased by the outgoing administration. I need someone with authority to issue a directive to make a backup of this database as well as the code so the app can be repurposed.
I need to get in contact with someone in an official capacity.
As a former DHS (CBP & ICE) and DoD (US Army) IT contractor I suggest contacting Jim Jordan, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, if you feel going to the DHS OIG is NOT the appropriate and prudent first step (and likely rightly so). They provide the email listed below for whistleblowers though I'd personally be inclined to seek a more anonymous and encrypted means of communication. Perhaps someone on the War Room can provide such details or recommendations?
