Cato would end his speech with Carthago delenda est—"Carthage must be destroyed”—because it was an existential threat to the future of the Roman Republic. And finally, in the end, Cato had his way: several years after he began his campaign against Carthage on the floor of the Roman Senate, the Third Punic War began.

In much the same vein, the next Republican president must declare war on the administrative state on day one of his administration and then by all means necessary devolve and destroy it: gubernatio administrativa delenda est.
