On Thursday, Steve Bannon showcased Chip Roy’s hard-hitting campaign video for Texas Attorney General, and the WarRoom conversation that followed pulled no punches. With Donald Trump back in the White House, Roy is making the case that Texas needs an AG who will fight tooth and nail against the cartels, Soros-funded prosecutors, woke corporations, and weak-kneed Republicans.
QUICK CLIP:
REP. CHIP ROY (R): Texas is central to the future of America. As Texas goes, so goes freedom, and so goes America. That’s why I’m running for Attorney General: to fight for Texas, defend our freedoms, and keep our state strong.@chiproytx pic.twitter.com/xTJwUp8S1w

The ad laid it out plain: Soros-funded prosecutors letting criminals walk, cartels flooding the border with fentanyl, woke corporations grabbing Texas land, and weak politicians looking the other way. Roy’s pitch: he’s running for Attorney General to actually fight, not just posture.
Bannon cut right to it: Why walk away from Congress now? Roy didn’t dodge. After four terms, he says it’s time to bring the fight home. He’s done the federal prosecutor work, he’s been in the AG’s office before, and now he says Texas is where the battle for America is really happening. "As Texas goes, so goes America,” he told Bannon.
Bannon reminded him how Democrats play the game. They don’t just talk, they smash. Look at Newsom’s California — gerrymandering the GOP into near extinction. Roy agreed. Republicans in Texas, he said, have been too timid, too slow. An AG has to know how to throw punches in court and not back down.
And Roy wasn’t just talking about Democrats. He lit up the Austin swamp too, corporate Republicans who care more about donors than about Texans dealing with cartels, crime, and chaos. He called the state budget garbage. He said criminals are running loose while the so-called leadership sits on their hands.
The campaign he’s running isn’t the usual "TV ad and fundraising dinner” routine. Roy said he’ll be out with Tea Party groups, grassroots activists, the same people he’s been working with since the Freedom Caucus was just a basement meeting. His base isn’t consultants , it’s MAGA fighters.
The WarRoom audience didn’t get a sugar-coated sales pitch. They got a fight plan. Roy wants to carry on the battles Paxton was waging , suing over border invasions, pushing back on election fraud, standing up against Washington’s overreach. He says he’s ready to be the AG who doesn’t blink and doesn’t compromise.
Bannon ended the segment by laying it out straight: Texas is MAGA ground zero. If the state’s run by soft Republicans and Soros DAs, America’s finished. Roy is betting Texans know it, and that they’re ready for an AG who’ll take the gloves off.
Watch the whole WarRoom segment:

The Honorable Chip Roy will be sorely missed as a staunch fighter for freedom within the halls of Congress! However, he may still be that fighter inside the Texas capital, as well!
