A long-classified House Intelligence Committee report, suppressed since 2018, is finally reemerging and it’s contents are shocking. According to Fred Fleitz, former Deputy National Security Advisor to President Trump, this hidden report confirms what many suspected all along: U.S. intelligence agencies deliberately weaponized the discredited Steele Dossier to undermine Donald Trump’s presidency while burying explosive information that the Russians allegedly had compromising material—kompromat—on Hillary Clinton.
In a conversation with Steve Bannon on Friday’s WarRoom, Fleitz revealed that he personally read the report back in 2018 while serving on the National Security Council. He expected its public release by year’s end. It never came. Instead, the CIA locked it away. And for seven long years, it stayed hidden—through political shifts, elections, and national chaos. Why? Because what was inside would have blown apart the entire Trump-Russia collusion narrative the media spent years pushing.
The intelligence community concluded that Russia actually preferred Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump. Not only that, but they believed she was vulnerable, allegedly even undergoing psychological treatment, and would be more easily manipulated as president. In other words, the Russians weren’t trying to help Trump. They thought Hillary was the easier target. That was the dirty truth the Democrats and the CIA didn’t want you to see.
President Trump knew about the report. In late 2020, he ordered the CIA to release it. CIA Director Gina Haspel refused. Fleitz claims Trump even considered going to CIA headquarters himself to physically retrieve the report. That’s how serious it was. That’s how deep the resistance ran—a sitting President blocked from accessing his own intelligence.
Now that the report is surfacing, Fleitz is calling for real accountability. He says it’s time to expose the intelligence officials who participated in what he and others are calling a treasonous conspiracy. From 2018 through 2020, these officials allowed partisan politics to corrupt the national security apparatus. And for what? To derail the Trump presidency.
Fleitz doesn’t stop there. He says it’s time to bring these people in front of Congress. Prosecute where possible. Subpoena the rest. And even if former President Obama hides behind "presidential immunity,” Fleitz says, "Let’s make him sweat. Let’s make him lawyer up. Let’s force him to explain what he knew and when he knew it.”
For Fleitz, he said this is about far more than revenge. It’s about preserving the credibility of U.S. intelligence agencies. If political operatives inside the CIA and FBI can take down one president, what’s to stop them from doing it again? The message needs to be clear: weaponizing intelligence for political gain will carry consequences.
