Despite these risks, the FBI closed its investigation weeks before his death. Bannon emphasized America’s strategic Pacific role, rooted in WWII sacrifices, and called Palacios a patriot on the front lines of a new Cold War. They demanded a full federal task force and high-level recognition for Palacios. Paskal urged continued public pressure.
