On September 17, 2025, President Donald Trump embarked on his second state visit to the United Kingdom, marking a historic occasion as the first American president to receive two such honors. The event unfolded at Windsor Castle, featuring elaborate pageantry, including a horse-and-buggy arrival, marching bands, cannon salutes, and a joint U.S.-UK F-35 flyover. Over 160 guests attended the state dinner in St. George’s Hall, where the U.S. national anthem played—a poignant symbol given the site’s ties to the Revolutionary War era.

King Charles delivered a heartfelt toast, emphasizing the enduring “special relationship” between the nations. He highlighted their shared British-American heritage, from everyday language and cultural exchanges—such as actors, musicians, and writers—to personal anecdotes, including his 20 visits to the U.S. since 1917 and a near-marriage tie to the Nixon family. Charles praised bilateral achievements: the UK’s role as the first trade deal of Trump’s administration, fostering jobs and growth; joint scientific legacies in nuclear science, the human genome, and the internet; and ongoing collaborations in technology, commerce, and defense. He underscored the importance of mutual support against tyranny, notably in aiding Ukraine against aggression, and emphasized the role of diplomatic efforts in resolving global conflicts. Environmental stewardship was noted, with a call to preserve natural treasures, including national parks. Charles toasted Trump, the First Lady, and the American people, invoking trust in friendship, independence, and liberty.

Trump reciprocated with admiration for the UK’s resilience and contributions. He lauded King Charles’s dedication to preserving the kingdom’s glory, Princess Catherine’s radiance, and the royal family’s legacy. Trump celebrated Britain’s historical feats: defeating Napoleon, unleashing the Industrial Revolution, abolishing slavery, and defending civilization against fascism and communism. He credited the UK with innovations like the Magna Carta, modern parliament, the scientific method (Francis Bacon), and intellectual giants like Locke, Smith, Burke, Newton, and Blackstone. Trump affirmed the unbreakable U.S.-UK bond, calling it eternal and irreplaceable, and toasted the King, Queen, and the two nations’ shared values for the English-speaking world.

Reporting from the ground, Brian Glenn described the day’s grandeur, from the ceremonial arrival to the dinner speeches. He noted anticipation for the next day’s bilateral meeting and press conference with Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Chequers. Glenn observed strong public support for Trump amid UK challenges: Starmer’s low polling (11-12%), economic woes (2.8% inflation, high unemployment), immigration crises, and a populist uprising led by Tommy Robinson, with millions protesting in London waving Union Jacks.

Steve Bannon provided a broader context, linking the visit to tectonic shifts in Western politics. He drew parallels to the Revolutionary War, noting debates in Parliament (e.g., Edmund Burke’s advocacy for American rights) and the war’s true end at the 1815 Battle of New Orleans, under the command of Andrew Jackson. Bannon critiqued the UK’s trajectory toward civil war under elites, contrasting the pageantry with underlying crises in Christendom and Western civilization. He referenced Obama’s “inflection point” remark, urging vigilance against deep-state forces. The discussion veered into U.S. affairs: a Federal Reserve 25-basis-point rate cut (with dissent for 50), gold hitting all-time highs, de-dollarization efforts by BRICS nations, and calls for thorough investigations into recent events, including an apparent assassination attempt on Trump (with garbled references to suspects and motives). Bannon stressed the need for victory over unity, dismantling radical elements, and confronting Chinese influence in U.S. institutions. He criticized delays in Senate confirmations for Trump’s team ahead of the UN General Assembly and advocated recess appointments.

Overall, the visit reinforced transatlantic ties amid global turmoil, blending celebration with warnings of existential threats to democratic values. Bannon framed it as a pivotal moment for populist nationalism, urging action to preserve civilization.

The second hour, Ben Harnwell led discussions on religious and geopolitical issues, primarily critiquing the Catholic Church’s hierarchy under Pope Francis and his successor, Pope Leo. The show opens with breaking news on the Vatican-China agreement, where the Vatican is accused of betraying the underground Catholic Church in favor of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) “Patriotic Church.”

Liz Yore explains the historical context: In 1958, Mao created the Patriotic Church to usurp the faithful Catholic underground, requiring allegiance to the CCP over Christ. Pope Pius XII condemned it, but Francis and now Leo are seen as continuing “diabolical” policies, recognizing CCP-appointed bishops and suppressing authentic dioceses.

This is framed as a “suicide pact” for Christianity, with calls for laity to hold bishops accountable and demand transparency on the secret Vatican-CCP deal.

The conversation expands to broader church “rot,” including a recent LGBT Jubilee procession in St. Peter’s Basilica, where hundreds of LGBTQ Catholics participated in a Mass blessed by Bishop Savino with Leo’s approval.

Guest Jenny Holland calls this an “existential threat,” arguing it undermines traditional morality, elevates a “priestly class” of gay men, and unfairly burdens the laity. She contrasts this with secular tolerance, questioning why the Church must validate modern behaviors against ancient tenets.

Frank Walker from Canon 212 reinforces criticisms, noting Vatican silence and global parallels in church suppression. Other segments cover the Egyptian government’s plan to convert St. Catherine’s Monastery (site of the Burning Bush) into a luxury resort with malls and cable cars, despite its 1,600-year history. No U.S. or Vatican intervention is mentioned, highlighting a “vacuum” in Christian advocacy.

Archbishop Vigano is praised for citing 19th-century visionary Anne Catherine Emmerich’s prophecies of a “false church” with abominations, which mirror current events, such as church closures and heresies.

The show urges resistance to modernist “rot,” prayer, and discernment over blind obedience.
