Rep. Mike Waltz Explains How Pete Hegseth Is Putting ‘Warrior Ethos’ Back Into The Military

Tuesday, January 14, 2025 – A fiery day in Washington unfolded during Pete Hegseth’s confirmation hearing. Democrats on the Senate Armed Services Committee unleashed sharp criticisms, focusing on Hegseth’s past remarks rather than substantive policy.

"They don’t get why they lost,” Steve Bannon remarked on “War Room,” adding that the hearing showed a lack of focus from the left.

Colonel Mike Waltz, a Green Beret and National Security Advisor, joined the discussion, highlighting Hegseth’s embodiment of the “warrior ethos.” Waltz emphasized Hegseth’s commitment to military standards and readiness. "That’s what our soldiers have been begging for,” he said.

Hegseth’s stance on maintaining rigorous standards, regardless of gender or background, drew overwhelming support from veterans. "Pete represents reform,” Waltz added. "The status quo is not acceptable.”

Democrats, however, focused their questions on personal attacks. Waltz condemned the approach, calling it part of a broader smear campaign. "No serious policy questions were asked,” he noted.

The conversation highlighted Hegseth’s appeal to troops eager for strong leadership and reform. Waltz concluded, "Hegseth is who the troops want leading them.”

As debates continue, Hegseth’s supporters remain steadfast, framing his confirmation as a crucial step for military and national security reform.

CPT Maureen Bannon Gives Her Firsthand Account Of Pete Hegseth’s Confirmation Hearing

"The Democrats were unhinged,” Maureen said. "It felt like a competition to see who could attack Pete the hardest.”

The hearing, meant to evaluate Hegseth’s qualifications for a top Department of Defense role, became a platform for contentious questioning. Democrats, particularly the female senators on the Armed Services Committee, fixated on Hegseth’s past remarks about women in combat roles.

"They didn’t ask about policy,” Maureen noted. "Instead, they focused on false allegations and dragged him for things he never said.”

Hegseth has previously expressed support for women serving in combat support roles but opposed lowering standards for front-line combat positions. Maureen backed his stance, drawing on her own experience as a logistics officer in Iraq.

"I supported those on the front lines,” she explained. "Women play crucial roles, but lowering standards for combat arms like infantry or artillery isn’t the answer.”

Republican senators, in contrast, asked substantive policy questions. They focused on Hegseth’s plans for the Department of Defense and his views on leadership and strategy. Maureen praised his responses.

‘Days Of Thunder’ Bannon On The Second Coming Of The Trump Administration

Steve Bannon outlined his vision for “Days of Thunder,” marking the intense and transformative agenda President Trump would pursue upon returning to office. Comparing it to “shock and awe,” Bannon emphasized a heightened focus, citing teams’ extensive preparation. He criticized Democrats for their bitterness and resistance, highlighting polling that showed widespread dissatisfaction with the country’s direction. Bannon defended figures like Pete Hegseth and predicted relentless Democratic attacks against key Trump allies. He emphasized priorities including border security, deportations, deficit management, and executive orders, framing them as critical to America’s future. Bannon promised comprehensive media coverage leading up to Inauguration Day.

Ben Bergquam Interviews Residents In NC Still Affected By Hurricane Helene

Steve Bannon and Ben Bergquam discussed the aftermath of catastrophic flooding in Western North Carolina, focusing on the Biden administration’s lack of response and FEMA’s inadequate relief efforts. Ben reported from Waynesville, where James Lonsford and local leaders described how FEMA’s assistance was limited to minimal hotel vouchers, leaving displaced families reliant on donations and grassroots efforts. Only five FEMA trailers have been set up in four months, despite many more being needed.

Local residents expressed frustration over bureaucratic delays, insufficient communication, and FEMA’s lack of presence. Some speculated political motives, given the area’s strong MAGA support, while others attributed the neglect to general indifference. Concerns were raised about corporations buying flooded properties at undervalued prices, potentially due to valuable lithium deposits.

A community member emphasized the stark contrast between government resources allocated to Ukraine versus domestic disaster relief, highlighting the struggles of Appalachia’s residents. The discussion underscored the grassroots resilience of those affected and their reliance on private donations and volunteers, exposing a significant failure in governmental disaster response.

John Gardner: “You Should Have To Pay To Have Access To The World’s Greatest Market”

John Gardner and Steve Bannon discussed America’s shift from a manufacturing powerhouse to an economy dominated by free trade policies that undermine its independence. Gardner criticized the influence of economists like Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell for promoting unilateral free trade, allowing foreign nations to impose heavy tariffs on U.S. goods while America refrains from reciprocating. He highlighted the moral consequences of relying on a supply chain tainted with forced and slave labor, advocating for a system where American dollars stay within the domestic economy to foster jobs and rebuild communities.

Gardner proposed establishing an “External Revenue Service” to replace the Internal Revenue Service by focusing on tariffs and fees on foreign access to U.S. markets. He noted that for 140 years, tariffs funded the government and suggested reviving this model to reduce dependence on income taxes. By reintroducing tariffs, Gardner argued, the U.S. could rebuild its manufacturing sector, strengthen national security, and restore the middle class. He emphasized the importance of reclaiming America’s economic sovereignty, drawing parallels to historical successes in manufacturing during wartime and the post-war era.

The conversation underscored a populist vision to restore American economic independence through policy reforms targeting trade and taxation.
