Message to Christians: Time to Vote
Often in these perilous times, we ask ourselves, what is going on? What is happening in the world, and why? Reaching and grasping through the wisdom of man, the answer can never be answered, the conclusion never reached. Why? Because we fail to seek Divine wisdom in that answer. (Ephesians 6:10-12) sets the stage for understanding these times and the backdrop to the wisdom it takes to combat it. (v. 12) states: "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” This means that it is the forces of the devil we war against, and it is his purpose to make of no effect the law of God, which is truth, fairness, compassion, love, and righteousness. I tell you now that we see a stark contrast in this epic controversy that spans the entire human history, played out on the field of battle, which is waged through us. We see this division because the two opposing forces are good and evil. You see, the good is calling us back to a time of fairness and justice, shown through mercy and compassion in brotherly love—a time when good moral values held as the absolute of this world were rooted in Godly principles.
Then you have the doctrine of the devil, which is calling you to fulfill the desires of the flesh in all lewdness and drunkenness, mocking what is good and despising the good moral principles that this country was founded on. How can we be sure? First, the Word of God, but also through worldly events. Look at the rally in which Kamala Harris held, where a person in the crowd yelled out, "Christ is King,” and her response was that the person was at the wrong rally. We see here a full frontal assault on the law of God, because to hold that Christ is King is to hold to fairness and equality, loving one another, showing mercy and compassion, defending the widow and the brokenhearted, helping the poor, and healing the sick, meting out justice to the oppressed with mercy.
(Proverbs 3:3) tells us, "Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.”
(Hosea 6:6), the Lord says: "For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”
Instead, we see hatred spewing forth through vile rhetoric that those who desire mercy, fairness, compassion, and justice, etc., are nothing but no-good Nazi womanizing racists who are equal to a pile of garbage. Where is the brotherly love or the unity in such vile rhetoric? It is not there.
But we do have assurance (vs. 10-11) that if we are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, we can trust that He will defend us and bring us victory. He gives us the full armor of God to wear that will protect us from the wiles of the devil, bringing forth the sword of truth, which is the Word of God, to smite the devil where he stands. Remember, it is sharper than any two-edged sword. As Christians, we must stand against the forces of evil. SO GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!!!!!
