Steve Bannon and John Solomon laid out what they called a "criminal conspiracy” orchestrated by Obama-era officials to sabotage Donald Trump, beginning before the 2016 election and continuing into his current presidency.

According to Solomon, recent evidence reveals that President Barack Obama, top intelligence officials, and federal prosecutors acted with full awareness that the Russia collusion narrative was fabricated, yet still allowed and encouraged it to drive forward investigations against Trump.

"This is a long-running criminal conspiracy,” Solomon said. "From Hillary Clinton’s fake scandal in 2016 all the way to Jack Smith’s classified document case in 2024—it’s the same playbook.”

Bannon opened the conversation by pointing out that Trump had publicly praised Tulsi Gabbard for being on the "right side of every issue,” noting she had taken heat for refusing to follow the establishment narrative. This led to a broader discussion about how early the intelligence community was involved in targeting Trump.

Solomon said that in July 2016, before the FBI officially opened Crossfire Hurricane, a U.S. intelligence official briefed then-President Obama that Hillary Clinton planned to launch a smear campaign against Trump, accusing him of being aligned with Russia. Despite knowing this, Obama took no action to stop the FBI or intelligence agencies from investigating Trump.

"They knew the fix was in from the beginning,” Solomon emphasized. "Barack Obama does not stop his FBI or his intelligence community from investigating something they knew was a dirty trick invented inside the Clinton campaign.”

According to Solomon, the scheme intensified after the initial plan to defeat Trump in 2016 failed. He claimed Obama orchestrated a new intelligence community assessment (ICA) in early 2017, reversing prior findings that Russia had no clear preference in the election. The pivot relied on the now-debunked Steele dossier, which was injected into intelligence reporting despite the FBI internally discrediting its claims.

"The FBI’s own spreadsheet knocked down every single claim in that document by December 2016,” Solomon noted. "And still, Obama’s team inserted it into the official assessment.”

He also stated that just before leaving office in January 2017, Obama met with top officials to strategize how to keep pursuing General Michael Flynn, even after the FBI had cleared him—cementing Obama’s direct role in the weaponization effort.

President Trump, in a recent address, called Obama’s actions "treason.” Bannon called it "stunning,” underscoring the gravity of the accusation coming from a sitting president.

Solomon predicted that the Justice Department’s internal investigation—originally launched in April—could soon be reclassified as a criminal conspiracy probe, potentially using RICO statutes, just like cases against drug cartels or organized crime.

"The next step,” Solomon said, "may be the naming of a federal strike force to investigate whether the political conspiracy to get Trump rose to a criminal conspiracy.”

The conversation also veered into new revelations about Chinese interference in the 2020 election, with Solomon alleging the FBI buried intelligence reports about Beijing’s efforts to help Joe Biden.

"They knowingly and willfully stopped investigating credible intelligence,” he said. "That could be considered an overact—leaving the U.S. vulnerable to attack by an enemy.”

This broadcast marks one of the most direct and detailed public indictments yet of what Bannon and Solomon claim is a coordinated, years-long political and legal operation to block Trump’s presidency at all costs.
