On September 2, 2025, Steve Bannon and Dr. Taylor Marshall discussed Christian nationalism and Marshall’s new book, “Christian Patriot,” on Bannon’s WarRoom.
Bannon pressed Marshall, asking if his call for Christian-centered governance echoes Iran’s theocratic turn under Ayatollah Khomeini, referencing post-Shah executions as a warning. Marshall dismissed the comparison, arguing that as America and Europe abandon Christianity, they face declining birth rates, surging violence, and economic woes. He decried a global double standard: Muslim and Jewish nations can embrace their cultural norms, but Christians are branded fascists for doing the same.

DR. TAYLOR MARSHALL: As the West becomes less Christian, it becomes weaker. Birth rates fall, violence rises, and economies falter. Because the strongest nations live in conformity with God’s will revealed through Jesus Christ.@TaylorRMarshall pic.twitter.com/rrvqJfpIP1

Christian Patriot offers 12 steps to restore Christian values, rooted in 2,000 years of political philosophy. Marshall criticized Thomas Jefferson’s "anti-Christian” stance, noting his edited Bible stripped Jesus’ divinity, rejecting the resurrection and Trinity.
He argued the "separation of church and state” isn’t in the founding documents, pointing out early colonies required Trinitarian belief for officeholders.
The pair tied societal issues—transgender ideology, pornography, abortion, and human trafficking—to a "hatred of God.” Marshall cited a transgender church shooter, linking their actions to parental divorce and lost faith, and stressed marriage as a lifelong man-woman bond.
Bannon questioned if society could thrive on Jefferson’s Bible, keeping Christ’s moral teachings but ditching his divinity. Marshall insisted it’s "all or nothing,” comparing Jefferson’s views to weak liberal Christianity akin to "AOC or Joe Biden.”
He chose "patriot” over "nationalism,” citing St. Thomas Aquinas’ definition of patriotism as loving one’s fatherland, rooted in God. Young men, Marshall said, are disillusioned with marriage, homeownership, and endless wars due to America’s abandoned Christian legacy. Christian Patriot, co-signed with Harrison Butker, hit #1 on Amazon’s launch day, with a 20% discount using "Bannon20.”
They slammed the media for hiding anti-God motives in attacks like the Minneapolis shooting, urging a Christian revival.
