The Washington Post’s “Merry Impeachmas” tweet last night has officially died in darkness.
WaPo reporter Rachel Bade published an image of her and four colleagues – three of which also serve as CNN analysts – celebrating the impeachment of President Donald J. Trump at an Irish pub in Washington, D.C.
Paul Kane, Karoun Demirjian, Seung Min Kim, Mike DeBonis, and Rachel Bade declared “Merry Impeachmas from the WaPo team!” from the Dubliner pub.
But after thousands of replies, mostly criticism, Bade finally deleted the tweet.
She wrote with crocodile tears in her eyes:
I’m deleting a tweeting tonight that is being misinterpreted by some as an endorsement of some kind. To be absolutely clear, we at the Post are merely glad we are getting a break for the holidays after a long 3 months. I will retweet the group photo w/ a better caption !

The entire thing revealed – as if it needed revealing further – the disdain with which the so-called “impartial” media treats President Trump and his supporters.
