Adam Schiff took time to warn witnesses to be cautious when asked by other members if ‘they are aware of’ a fact or another witness’ testimony: “I want to say to the witnesses to be a bit cautious when members represent ‘are you aware of this fact, are you aware of that fact’; ‘did you know that so-and-so testified to this or testified to that.’ If you have personal knowledge of it that’s fine. I’m not saying this is deliberate, sometimes members get it wrong.”
