Stephen K. Bannon was joined by Representative Fred Keller of Pennsylvaniaâs 12th District on Episode 49 of War Room: Impeachment to discuss the opportunity cost of the Democratâs impeachment proceedings.
Bannon began: âYou brought up something that we donât think is getting enough coverage: the opportunity cost of forcing the country into a Constitutional crisis over the holiday season. Itâs sucked all the oxygen out of the air on Capitol Hill. Can you be specific, what is not going on that should be going on because weâre focused on this impeachment?â
Keller answered: âThe first thing Iâm going to talk about, itâs been on the Speakerâs desk since the beginning of the year, and thatâs the trade agreement between the United States, Mexico, and Canada â the USMCA. I mean, in Pennsylvania alone itâs 17,000 agricultural jobs and 42,000 manufacturing jobs⊠Thatâs whatâs at stake. You know we, as politicians, we all talk about jobs when we run for office â jobs, jobs, jobs. You canât be pro-jobs and be anti-business. This is a bill right here thatâs going to help our agriculture industry, itâs going to help our manufacturing jobs, and we need to get that [done] â itâs been there for how long?â
âThe Speaker at one point in time says âwell we thought we would get it done,â then she says âoh we donât know if we have time for it.â And now it seems like she may have backtracked on that again.â
