On Episode 103 of War Room: Impeachment, Stephen K. Bannon, Raheem Kassam and Jason Miller discussed what the messaging goal of the administration should be in regards to Iran; Kassam saying: “consider the matter closed.”
“What happens with the President’s messaging today?” Bannon asked his co-hosts.
“The goal today is not to make the deescalation camp happy,” Miller responded. The people who are hammering on President Trump are never going to be happy with him.”
“His goal today,” Miller continued, “is to talk about how the actions of the past week have made the world a safer place. And also talk about how that fits into his longer vision about getting the U.S. out of the region.”
Kassam asserted: “The goal today is to say the world is rid of the most dangerous terrorist that was around. We didn’t take any casualties. We consider the matter close. That’s the goal.”
Miller added that he believes Trump “has to lay out that forward vision, here’s how the last week fits into that, and here’s how we’re going to continue to get the U.S. out of the region and make the world a safer place.”
“Peace through strength,” Bannon added.
