Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham said he plans to investigate Hunter Biden’s lucrative job at a Ukrainian gas company while his father was serving as vice president.
Graham, a South Carolina Republican, said President Trump was justified in asking Ukraine to investigate the Bidens. The request, first recorded in a July 25 phone call between Trump and Ukraine’s president, is at the heart of the impeachment charges senators are now weighing.
Graham told reporters that Trump is frustrated by a double standard when it comes to investigation and said the media and the Senate Democrats would want an investigation if Burisma Holdings had hired Vice President Mike Pence’s son.
“So the president is frustrated, and I am frustrated that we live in a country where only one side gets looked at,” Graham said. “And I am telling you now that I am going to look at this if nobody else does. And that does not make me a Russian agent.”
