Republicans in Michigan’s 8th District may be able to swing another vote from “yes” to “no” on the upcoming impeachment vote, with Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) signaling she may be willing to push back against Speaker Pelosi’s partisan process.

Rep. Slotkin explained on Wednesday morning that her office “literally” can’t answer the phones fast enough as strong views come in on both sides about impeachment, according to CNN.

“My phones are ringing off the hook,” Slotkin said, adding that she is currently undecided on how she’ll vote on impeachment.

Rep. Slotkin also praised what she calls the “responsible” decision to avoid bringing back points from the Mueller investigation and any more serious articles of impeachment against President Trump.

Democrats are currently chasing “abuse of power” and “obstruction of Congress” as two articles of impeachment announced this week.

Slotkin also confirmed to the Washington Examiner on Wednesday that she had not yet read the articles of impeachment, despite their publication earlier this week.

“I have not read them,” Slotkin said. “I need to read them.”
