On Episode 27 of War Room: Impeachment Stephen K. Bannon, Raheem Kassam, and Jason Miller were joined by David Bossie, deputy campaign manager of the Trump 2016 campaign, to discuss the first public impeachment hearings.
“I think the President had a victory today. That was just a clear cut victory,” Bossie told the War Room after William Taylor and George Kent’s testimonies concluded. As Republicans, Bossie explained, “There’s a lot of things we need to do better and we need to do right.”
“Because we have the transcript of the call, [Democrats’] two star witness who were not on the call and have no first hand knowledge, presented no evidence today that changed anyone’s minds.”
“Adam Schiff was a disaster today,” Bossie said. He explained one mistake Schiff made was allowing the lengthy opening statements: “look at those long, laborious, boring opening statements by [William Taylor and George Kent]… We are witnessing the first hearing, the first minute, of the first day and these guys go on and on with these long opening statements. The American people tuned out.”
“[Democrats] are going to learn from these mistakes. So Friday, in my opinion, will be different; and then next week will be different. They’re not stupid and they’re not just going to continue to do it the same way. We will see them adjust.”
