On Episode 18 of War Room: Impeachment, hosts Stephen K. Bannon and Jason Miller provide background on today’s witness, David Hale, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, that establishment media outlets won’t share.

Miller addresses his “Career” status: “Yes, he’s a career person but let’s talk about what that means. Talk about everything that President Trump ran against with his America First foreign policy criticizing the way that the US has done business in the Middle East over the past 20 years.

Miller continues by listing Hill’s resume, demonstrating extensive involvement in the Middle East:

“He’s previous Ambassador to Pakistan, Ambassador to Lebanon, Special Envoy for Middle East Peace, Deputy Special Envoy and Ambassador to Jordan, tours of duty in Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.”

Co-host Raheem Kassam also adds he was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2013.

To Bannon, “Hale is a disaster.”

He continues: “We’re not denigrating this guy’s patriotism. [The American people] are going to have to weigh and measure that.”

Bannon outlines the differences between America First and the establishment, globalist view on foreign policy epitomized by Career Officials like Hale:

“The way these men and women come at this is consistent with a very specific point of view of how they think America should comport itself with the world, specifically in the Middle East. President Trump just has a very different vision of that. The American people voted for America First.”

He continues: “We’re not looking for protectorates, we’re looking for allies.”
