On Episode 44 of War Room: Impeachment, hosts Stephen K. Bannon and Jason Miller discuss a recent Politico article, “Vulnerable Democrats spooked by GOP impeachment ad onslaught.” To Bannon, “it’s a stunning defeat for Nancy Pelosi.”

The article demonstrates how “President Trump’s allies, the campaign, the RNC, the White House, [War Room: Impeachment], outside groups like Jenny Beth Martin and the coalition of Adam Brandon at FreedomWorks, Dave Bossie, Tom Fitton, many people we’ve had in this room are now up. They have war rooms, they’re sharing information. They’re trying to get more information out there.”

Bannon notes this effort “has now culminated in the Politico article.”

He continues: “The headline at the end of what was supposed to be [Democrat’s] biggest week, that is not what they wanted the headline [to be] in Politico. What they wanted the headline in Politico [to be] is that 31 [freshman Democrats] are rushing home because 65% of independents in their district want to remove and impeach president trump. That is not the article.”

Miller highlight 2 particularly damning quotes for the Democrat’s case in the article:

“Many of us have been expressing our concerns to leadership,” said a Democratic lawmaker said, who declined to be named in order to speak candidly about strategy. “You don’t want to have to play catch up.”

“Everyone knows you don’t just take a shot and sit there,” the lawmaker said. “It’s like someone taped our arms to our side and punched us in the face.”

It demonstrates: “In those 31 [freshman Democrats’] districts, they understand that their political careers are now on the line and that is where it should be heightened. If you’re going to impeach and have some remedy that is this severe, it ought to have those political consequences to it.”
