By MSNBC’s and Squad member Rashida Tlaib’s own standards, Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein should resign.
Reacting to reports that Senators left last night’s 12 hour impeachment trial before it concluded, MSNBC commentator Chris Hayes said: “These people’s jobs is to do this. This is literally the job. If you find it too annoying or frustrating or uncomfortable to sit for 8 hours, then listen you can resign tomorrow and go get another job. This is your job.”
Rep. Tlaib joined in on twitter, saying Republican Senators “should quit” if they left early:
If you don't want to do your job Senators, then you should quit. @SenateGOP https://t.co/Z4RR6o12w1

Meanwhile on the other side of the aisle, Sen. Feinstein left at 8:45 pm, nearly 1 hour before the Senate adjourned at 9:42 pm:
“Goodnight,” @SenFeinstein said to me and @jenhab as she exited the Senate at 8:45 pm.
She left under the carriage entrance into an awaiting car.

Unsurprisingly, there’s deafening silence from the media and Tlaib.

Other MSNBC panelists added leaving early was “a terrible look to the public” along with “if we’re expecting [career bureaucrats] to be courageous, [Senators] could at least be patient and attentive. They could at least sit in their seat even if they’re going to vote to acquit whatever they’re going to do at the end of the day. Is it too much to ask?”
War Room is still waiting for Tlaib and MSNBC to call for Sen. Feinstein’s resignation, but we’re not holding out breath…
