Steve Bannon led off his show today by showing a video of retired Marine sergeant John Bennett calling out Joe Biden and the American military leadership for the catastrophic disaster in Kabul. Bennett is also the chairman of the Oklahoma Republican Party. In the interview on “War Room,” Bennett said this about the performance of Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie, the Commander of United States Central Command, in his response to the deaths of 12 Marines and a Navy medic in Kabul:
“I’m just so furious. When I watched the general on TV, I was ashamed… I wanted to throw something at the TV. The first thought that came to mind is he should be relieved of duty immediately because he’s a four-star general and he’s working with the enemy. They give the enemy information about American citizens, about those Afghans that helped us in the war in Afghanistan, and one of the reasons we’ve been fighting the war on terror for 20 years is because generals like him still cannot apply basic fighting doctrine, which is know who the enemy is, who they say they are, and how they operate. … They won’t even call it what it is. It’s Islamic terrorism.”
