Chief Warrant Officer and Gold Star Husband Joe Kent says the first thing he would do in Washington, D.C. is end the endless wars, and calls for a global war on terror monument on the national mall.
“It’s absolutely incumbent that we end the endless wars,” he told War Room on Memorial Day.
Kent, who is running for Congress in Washington’s third district, argues for the repeal of the Authorization for Use of Military Force of 2001, because it gave presidents a “blank check” for overseas entanglements and created an out of control national security establishment.
“Then we have a president like Trump and [the national security apparatus] are completely able to turn and back-stab him” to keep our troops overseas, in defiance of the will of the people.
“We need to have Congress hold the Department of Defense accountable to the American people,” Kent said.
