On Episode 20 of War Room: Impeachment, guest Daniel Lippman, Politico’s White House correspondent and one of the “best young writers” according to host Stephen K. Bannon, inquires about how swapping out Republican members on the House Intelligence Committee might “cause turmoil.”
Bannon responds: “We have to have a sense of urgency, a sense that egos have to be put aside, a sense that you’re gonna have some bruised feelings. We got one shot here. The Democrats we named (Rep. Schiff, Rep. Swalwell, Rep. Castro, and Rep. Maloney) you see them on MSNBC and CNN. They are experts on how to weaponize little bits of information.”
He emphasizes how Republicans “need the killers” since “the America First national security policy and the Trump revolution” are at stake.
Co-host Jason Miller adds: “I want people who know how to play media warfare.”
Miller and Bannon commend the work of “killers” Rep. Devin Nunes and Rep. John Ratcliffe but emphasize that they need to become “comfortable going into hostile [media] territory, take incoming, and articulate exactly what’s going on.”
Miller continues: “We need to stack the deck with Rep. Meadows, Rep. Zeldin, Rep. Gaetz, and Rep. Biggs. We need the absolute killers who are going to go out there and know how to play the game.”
To Miller and Bannon, the addition of Rep. Jordan to the committee is a step in the right direction.
